Cheri-Anne Grass Santora passed away on Saturday, December 25, 2021, a resident of Metairie, born in New Orleans. She is survived by son, Robbie (Robert) F. Santora II, daughter-in-law, Tracy Doiron Santora, grandson, Nico Conner Santora, preceded in death by parents, the late Rosalie Bonck and Oscar Grass, sister to Elizabeth (Betty Jane) Rudiger, Missy Lynch and brother Louis Grass, brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, spouses and their children, along with other family members and a circle of many wonderful friends. She would like to be remembered as a devoted mother, mother-in-law, grandmother (Gigi) and gracious friend. She loved to share life with all she met. She enjoyed dancing and music socially and passionately. She had a passions for arts and music and was a student of John McCrady Art School in the French Quarter for many years. She always saw the beauty, color, shapes, and characteristics of everything around her as if was a gift to discern, things others didn’t even notice. She always had time to help someone in need and was a great listener for many. Cheri was employed by the Society of Louisiana CPAs as Executive Assistant to Executive Director Grady Hazel of Baton Rouge, JEDCO, the St. Paul Insurance Company and by the Travelers Insurance Company (as one of their first female underwriters). She served voluntarily as Treasurer and Board Member of Brancepeth Place Condominium Association and was extremely active in the Association as a planner, organizer, worker, who also loved gardening and beautiful, graceful flowers.
Relative and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life Service at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd, on Monday, January 3, 2022. Visitation before the service will start at 11:00 a.m. with the Mass at 1:00 p.m. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery. Condolences may be offered at www.greenwoodfh.com
