Chelsea Elizabeth Sullivan

Chelsea Elizabeth Sullivan of New Orleans, Louisiana passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 11, 2021.  Chelsea grew up in Grand Isle, Vermont as the beloved older sister to her brother and sister, Shane and Colleen Sullivan, and adored daughter to Thamasin Bruckel Titus and the late James Sullivan.  Although she left the Champlain Islands in 2002 to attend college in upstate New York and later moved to New Orleans—a city she adored—she was a proclaimed “Islander For Life,” and was welcomed home with enthusiasm and open arms any time she returned to visit her family and countless friends.
That those countless friends across the country have broken hearts today speaks to just how powerful and infectious Chelsea’s upbeat, unique, and unrivaled attitude and personality were.  Remembering Chelsea is remembering the smile on her face —a smile powerful enough to warrant an impromptu parade of musicians honoring her memory on the streets of New Orleans.  Her love and spark for life will be remembered by all who encountered her.
Chelsea’s kind spirit lives on through her brother and sister-in-law, Shane Sullivan and Alyssa Quinlan-Sullivan, of South Hero, Vermont; her sister, Colleen Sullivan, of Burlington, Vermont; her mother and step-father, Thamasin Bruckel-Titus and George Titus of Grand Isle, Vermont; her aunts and uncles, Joe Sullivan and Ann Coyne, of Liverpool, N.Y., and Paul and Tamara Sullivan, of Brockport, N.Y.; her cousins, Meghan, Matthew, Molly, Caleigh, Riley, and Cormac; and too many dear friends to name.   Memorial contributions may be made to C.I.D.E.R. or The Roots of Music, Inc.  Services to be held at a later date.
