Charles Maurice Kopelman

Charles Maurice Kopelman, lovingly known as Poppy, passed away on Monday, May 22, 2023, at the age of 90. Beloved husband of the late JoAnn Wingerter Kopelman for 67 years. Father of Joette Kopelman Monaghan (Joseph). Grandfather of Jessica Monaghan Hoolahan (Robbie) and Jamie Monaghan Fineran (Everett). Great Grandfather of Caroline and Eli Minvielle; Reid and Rustin Hoolahan; and William, Preston, Dylan and Pierce Fineran. Brother of David Kopelman, Sr. (Gayle) and the late Phyllis Bonhagen. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Kopelman worked for the Times-Picayune for many years and retired from Ochsner Medical Center.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd, New Orleans, on Saturday, May 27, 2023, starting at 10:00 AM, followed by a Mass in the chapel at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
