VERY SAD NEWS. I KNEW CHUCK FROM THE TIME HE STARTED WORK AT MARTIN MARIETTA..I WAS THE GROUP ENGINEER BACK THEN AND HE WORKED FOR ME. HE ALWAYS ATTACKED HIS JOB IN A VERY ORDERLY MANNER AND DID WHATEVER I ASKED OF HIM. AFTER I RETIRED, I WENT BACK AFTER THE COLUMBIA DISASTER WITH MY MAIN JOB TO PUT A CAMERA ON THE EXTERNAL TANK. CHUCK DID A LOT OF THE DRAWINGS THAT I NEEDED AND AS USUAL HE PERFORMED IN AN OUTSTANDING MANNER. I USED TO HAVE A CRAWFISH BOIL AT MY HOUSE EVERY YEAR AND CHUCK ALWAYS ATTENDED. WE ALL WILL MISS HIM.

I"m so sad to read the news of Chuck's passing. I worked with him at Lockheed Martin, New Orleans and we always got along very well. I was his office mate for a short time. He was always helpful and fun to talk to. My condolences to the family. He will be greatly missed. God rest his soul.

Very sad news to say the least. I always got on very well with Chuck and helped him at work on many occasions when he asked me to. Sad to say he seemed very depressed the last few times I saw him around a year ago.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Hoffman family. I will always have fond memories of being friends with Chuck. I learned a lot from him, especially how to drive too fast. He loved his 340 Duster and I always enjoyed going to the race track when he got his Nova. Will never forget you Chuck. Love Colin and Marie Williams

To the Hoffman Family: I was/am privileged to know and work with Charles at NASA Michoud Facility as well as his friend. His love for boating and fishing and all our chats will be treasures and misses. May the Lord be with him and may he Rest In Peace. He will be sorely missed by by everyone!
