Catherine Ann Waldo Robichaux of Houston, TX passed away peacefully while looking at her loving husband, Francis L. Robichaux on January 6, 2022 at the age of 66 years old. Cathy and Frank were married 45 years. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joan K. Waldo and Harry James Waldo. She is survived by her husband, Frank; brothers, Michael Waldo (wife, Judy, deceased), David Waldo (wife, Clare), Tommy Waldo, and Bobby Waldo (wife, Terry); brother-in-law Paul Robichaux; and her sisters, Mary Kay Cowen (husband, Mark) and Betty Chartier (husband, Marty). She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Joe Waldo, Melanie Brocatto (husband, Frankie), Julie Waldo, Becky Waldo, Paul Naquin (wife, Amanda), Crystal Cormier (husband, Quentin), Paul Chartier (wife, Monica), Chris Chartier, Rae Figola, and Caitlin Velez (husband, Ryan) and their children.
Cathy was born in unincorporated Jefferson Parish, LA. She attended Ben Franklin High School and LA Tech University – graduating with a degree in Math Education, a minor in Library Science, and the love of her life, Frank.
Moving to Houston she worked several jobs in an assortment of positions basically making her occupation that of one who helped others. She was a member of the American Association of University Women (AAUW), the “POP TARTS” Red Hat Society, a life member of the Houston ECHO Society, volunteered at the Houston Library Foundation Book Warehouse, sang in the Choir at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church, and ended her lifetime love of Square Dancing with the Bluebonnet Squares.
With her faith in God, kindness, and willingness to be involved Cathy was a natural educator who desired to help others.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd, New Orleans, on Saturday, January 22, 2022, starting at 9:00 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass in the chapel at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Crossroads Louisiana, 3727 Gen DeGaulle Drive, New Orleans, LA 70114. Due to COVID 19 regulations, please follow the current restrictions and everyone attending is required to wear a mask.
