Carmela Lonero Cardinale passed away on Saturday, June 26, 2021, in Slidell, Louisiana at the age of 89. Beloved wife of 48 years to the late Paul Cardinale who passed away on August 7, 1997. Mother of Paula Cardinale Demarest (Daniel) and Maria Cardinale Morici (John). Grandmother of Jennifer Vinet Kline, Scott Vinet, Stephanie Morici, and Allison Morici. Great grandmother of Chandler Brumfield. Sister of the late Anthony G. Lonero and Rosemary Lonero Revertiga. Devoted Aunt to the late Joe “The Barber” Lewis and many more nieces and nephews. Daughter of the late Anthony Lonero and Sarah Giardina. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Thursday, July 1, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. Visitation at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70124, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and burial to follow at St. Roch Cemetery No. 1, 1725 St. Roch St., New Orleans, LA.
