Carlos “CJ” Danilo Doubleday, Jr. 1986-2021


Carlos “CJ” Danilo Doubleday, Jr., passed away Friday, September 17, 2021 at the age of 35. CJ was born in Metairie, LA on August 22, 1986 to Rachel Levert and Carlos Doubleday, Sr. He was a resident of Metairie, LA for most of his life and of Mandeville, LA for the past 5 years.


He is survived by his loving fiancé, Cynthia Mooney; his 3 children, Carlos, III “Trace”, Leola and Elena; his 2 stepchildren, Autumn and Avery; his parents Rachel & Michael Levert and Carlos & Alma Doubleday; his 3 sisters, Erika, Paulina (Deion) and Sarah; his step siblings, Scott Levert (Jennifer), Ashlie Levert and Stefanie (Stuart) Snively; his grandparents Bonita & Donald Migliore and Irina Zito; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. His sister Carla, his grandfathers, Vernon “Pete” Tweedy, Charles “Charlie” Doubleday, James “Jimmy” Zito and his great grandparents, precedes him in death.


CJ was a wonderful loving partner, daddy, son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, uncle and friend. Being a daddy to his children was his greatest accomplishment and he did it with such love and ease. CJ had a passion for drawing; he loved fishing and spending quality time with family & friends. CJ was the life of every family get together or party he attended and enjoyed making everyone laugh. To know CJ was to love him. CJ was a dedicated employee of Rouses Market for over 12 years, most recently at Rouses Market #33, the Power Blvd. location in Metairie, LA.


Family and friends are invited to join us for a Celebration of CJ’s Life on Saturday, October 16, 2021 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Metairie Golden Age Center (Pontiff Playground) 1521 Palm Street, Metairie, LA. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your favorite charity in his memory.
