Bonnie Beth Avery Catalanotto

Bonnie Beth Avery Catalanotto passed away on Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at the age of 58. Beloved wife of Vincent V. Catalanotto, Jr. Mother of Gretchen Fox Klobucar (Adam). Grandmother of Nora Klobucar and Hunter Klobucar. Sister of Robert Avery (Christine) and Scott Avery. Daughter of the late Robert and Anna Avery. Bonnie loved her sister-in-law, Michelle Geissler and her brother-in-law, Don Geissler very much. She was also survived by nieces and nephews.
Bonnie enjoyed traveling on summer vacations with her husband and daughter, which were one of the highlights of her life. One of Bonnie’s favorite activities was playing volleyball at Coconut Beach which led her to meeting her husband and a network of lifelong friends that were like family.
Her family is appreciative of the personal and loving touch provided by Jessica Rentfrow from Ochsner and several other nurses who cared for her. Specifically, her family has sincere appreciation for Phyllis Hatcher and Beth Laiche, who loved and cared for her like a family member.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd., New Orleans, on Saturday, June 16, 2018, starting at 8:30 AM, followed by a Memorial Mass in the chapel at 11:00 AM. Inurnment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Donations may be made in Bonnie’s honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
