Bobbye Jean Ann Brown Lewis

Bobbye Jean Brown Lewis was born in New Orleans, LA on September 26, 1950 a mother of 2, precious family member, and friend to many. A resident of Slidell, LA Bobbye Jean passed away peacefully at Slidell Memorial Hospital on Tuesday December 15, 2020 at 12:47am. Bobbye was a parishioner of Resurrection of Our Lord church for 39 years, as well as the devoted secretary of Resurrection of Our Lord school for 15 years.

Bobbye was preceded in death by her husband Douglas C. Lewis Sr, her parents Robert W. Brown and Rosalie M. Brown, brother in law George E. Lewis Jr, and brother in law Larry A. Falgoust Sr. She is survived by her sons Douglas C. Lewis Jr. (Karen) and Brady M. Lewis (Michelle), sister Carolyn B. Falgoust, nephew Larry A. Falgoust (Nikki), nephew Robert J. Falgoust (Yvonne), Godson Christopher Frederic (Emily), Godson Landon Falgoust, sister in law Jacqueline L. Lewis, brother in law Richard C. Lewis (Janice), sister in law Di-Ann Frederic (Earl), nephew Dwayne Lewis (Shelley), niece Amanda Jones (Glenn), nephew Jeffery Frederic (Stephanie), great nieces and nephews Lindsey, Justin, Jonathan Falgoust, lifelong friends Frank and Debbie Jobert, children Ryan Jobert (Katie), Megan Greul (Will), and caregiver/friend Ruth H. Dunne.

Bobbye is finally reunited with Doug, dancing and celebrating the Christmas holiday together. She will forever be known for her sweet and loving nature. Aunt Bobbye, as many referred to her, had an abundance of chosen family whom she cherished. To know her was to love her and to say that she will be missed is an understatement. May you all think of her with every margarita you order!

Private funeral services were held. A celebration of life that will be announced at a later date.
