Betty Mae de Hoa LeBlanc

Betty Mae de Hoa LeBlanc passed away on Friday, December 10, 2021, in Thibodaux, LA. She was a long time residence of Calabasas, CA and recently moved back to New Orleans, LA.
Betty was born on May 31, 1928 in New Orleans to Louis LeBlanc and Imelda Ford LeBlanc Nuss. Betty graduated from Sophie B. Wright. After moving to California, she completed her nursing degree at Valley College of Van Nuys, California. She held multiple positons in the nursing field until she settled at Valley Presbyterian Hospital from which she retired after 35 years. Betty also served our nation in United States Navy for 33 years retiring as a Chief Hospital Corpsman .
Betty is survived by her longtime friends, Jaye Peabody and Will Cordery; cousins, Richard Belteau (Martha), Jane Bourgeois (Ken), and Carole Ann Alvarez (David); as well as numerous other cousins and friends and most important is her fur baby, “Sugar”.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd, New Orleans, on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, starting at 9:00 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass in the chapel at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Greenwood Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to your favorite animal charity.
