Bertrand Bernard Sausse Jr.

Bertrand Bernard Sausse Jr., passed away at home on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at the age of 72. Beloved husband of Cynthia “Cindy” Walker Sausse. Father of Bertrand “Bert” Bernard Sausse III and wife Brandy, Brian Michael Sausse and Daryl Joseph Sausse. Grandfather of Victoria Marie Sausse and Bailey Rita Sausse. Son of the late Bertrand Bernard Sausse Sr. and Marie Simoneaux Sausse. Brother of Susan Sausse Wilson, Sandra Sausse Laurie, and Sherri Elizabeth Sausse. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Sausse was a graduate of Francis T. Nicholls High School, class of 1967. Then he went on to serve his country proudly in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Mr. Sausse retired from AT&T in 2008. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking and playing golf.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd, New Orleans, on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Thursday, July 28, 2022 starting at 10:00 AM, followed by a Funeral Service in the chapel at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
