Audrey Linn Hartman

Audrey Linn Hartman, at the age of 92, left us to join her Heavenly Father on January 17, 2022. Audrey was born in New Orleans on December 28, 1929 to James C. Linn and Ruth Gurtner Linn. She was pre-deceased by her parents and her two siblings, James F. Linn and Ruth M. Linn. Beloved wife of the late Joseph C. Hartman, she is survived by her two loving daughters, Mary J. “Jay” Dowdy (David) and JoAnn Landry (Lonnie). She was the proud “MawMaw” of five grandchildren, Melinda Dowdy Walker (Ryan); Steven James Landry (Stacy); Jessica Dowdy Dixon (Rob); Jonathan “John” Paul Landry (Stacey) and Kayla Dowdy Turner (Scott). Also survived by her “pride and joy” of ten great grandchildren, David and Allison Walker, Chloe and Dylan Landry, Sydney, Henry and Jake Dixon, Olivia and Julia Landry and Caroline Turner. Audrey grew up in the Irish Channel, was a proud graduate of Redemptorist High School and retired as a buyer from the Navy Exchange at the Naval Support Activity Station in Algiers. After retirement, she enjoyed many years of traveling and spending as much time as possible with her family and her multitude of friends. The family would like to thank the staff at Park Provence Senior Living and Passages Hospice for their kindness, care and compassion over the last 10 months. Their dedication will never be forgotten. Visitation and services will be held at Holy Name of Mary Church in Algiers Point, 400 Verret St., New Orleans, LA on Friday, January 21, 2022 with visitation beginning at 10:00 am followed by services at noon. Internment will immediately follow at Hope Mausoleum, 4841 Canal Street, N.O., LA. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society at www.nationalmssociety.org. Due to COVID 19 regulations, please follow the current restrictions and everyone attending is required to wear a mask.
