Annie Elizabeth Shill Bruno

June 2, 1941 ~ July 31, 2021 (age 80) 80 Years Old

Tribute

It is with great joy and unimaginable sadness that we announce that our beloved mother and MeMe, Annie Bruno, has died from complications of Parkinson’s disease. She was 80 years old. She was the bravest women we knew. She was unintentionally funny. Even when she was mad, she could make us laugh. She was truly so generous, to everyone she knew and even those she didn’t.

She was preceded in death by her husband, our Daddy, Tony Bruno, and her parents and sisters, as well as her son-in-law, Kevin Connell. She leaves behind her children, Gina Bruno Connell, and A.J. Bruno, her step-daughter, Toni Marie Cadella. She has 10 grandchildren and too many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and their children to list.

She had a standing Monday night “Cootie Game” with the best group of ladies around. In this season, they have lost 2 members, Annie and Jackie Bruno. She loved these ladies and looked forward to her Cootie games.

We cannot thank the Management and Staff of St. Anthony’s Rehab and Nursing Home enough. Their loving care made her last days so wonderful. She felt loved and cared for, which is invaluable. Their concern extended to A.J. and I, will be forever grateful.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Graveside Services at Cypress Grove Cemetery, 120 City Park Avenue, New Orleans, LA on Friday, August 13, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. .
