Alvin Joseph Cirino Sr. passed away, peacefully, in the presence of his loving son, on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at the age of 93. Beloved husband of the late Beatrice Nicolosi Cirino. Loving father of Alvin J. Cirino Jr. Brother of Lena Cirino Alongi and the late Lucille Cirino Compagno. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins and friends. Alvin was predeceased by his mother Nancy Palmisano Cirino, his father Frank Cirino and his daughter Lisa Marie Cirino. He was a graduate of Redemptorist High School (Class of 41) and an Army Veteran of WWII. He served in the European Theater as a combat engineer. He was a member of DAV, American Legion Post 258/ Livingston, LA; V.F.W Post 3652/ Hammond, LA and the Masonic Order Lodge -- In lieu of flowers masses preferred.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Greenwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5200 Canal Blvd, New Orleans, LA. on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 1:00 PM.
