Tribute

Allyson Sylve Maechling entered into eternal rest on April 7, 2021, with her family at her side. She was the beloved wife of 30 years to Thomas N. Maechling. She is survived by her devoted children Nicole M. Barrios (Lance) and Felix B. Borowiak. Loving grandmother of Landon, Cadon, and Payton Barrois and honorary grandmother to many. She is also survived by her siblings Blue Sylve (Cherrie), Dicky Sylve (Bird), Steve Sylvia (Melissa), Stephanie Buras (Seaun), Rebecca Sylve, and Lisa Fernandez (Sal). She was preceded in death by her parents Mildred and Blue Sylve, brother Leo Sylve Sr., and her Godson Bruce Tims. She was also loved by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and friends.

Allyson was born on August 17, 1962, and grew up in Port Sulphur, LA. Later, she moved to Kenner where she lovingly raised her family. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and especially loved travelling with them. Her smile, laugh, and big personality could instantly light up any room. She has touched the hearts of many in her 58 years of life.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Greenwood Funeral
Home, 5200 Canal Blvd., New Orleans, LA on Friday, April 16, 2021, starting at
12:00 noon followed by a Funeral Mass in the Chapel at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

Due to COVID-19 regulations, please follow the current restrictions. Everyone attending is required to wear a mask and adhere to social distancing.
