Adam Thomas Roush

July 13, 1983 ~ July 28, 2022 (age 39) 39 Years Old

Tribute

Adam Thomas Roush died suddenly in New Orleans on July 28, 2022, at the age of 39. Adam was born in Fairfax, Virginia on July 13, 1983, the oldest child of David A. Roush and Jane Marum Roush. He graduated from Fairfax High School in 2001, where he was on the cross-country team and the It’s Academic team. In 2006, he graduated with a degree in marketing from Radford University, where he was on the Academic Bowl team, and helped start a club wrestling team. Adam worked in the hospitality industry in Las Vegas, Richmond, and New Orleans from 2006 until 2021. In 2021, Adam joined the Virginia Law Foundation, working from New Orleans as a member of its marketing team. At the time of his death, Adam was helping to launch the Foundation’s Wellness Institute.

Adam had a brilliant and sharp mind. He possessed remarkable wit, charm, and an incredible skill with sarcasm. He was passionate about his friends, his family, his pets, and his wife, Margeaux. He had an insatiable love of learning. Adam excelled at all things trivia and had a very competitive spirit and intellect. Adam enjoyed bicycling and walking and particularly loved exploring New Orleans, his adopted home. He walked for hours through the streets, experiencing all that the city had to offer. He adored animals, particularly a unique stray cat named Harvey and her many offspring -- especially Atlas and Brenner. Adam was in his element when he was helping others. He was always someone you could call if you needed someone just to listen, and lend a kind word, but he would always be honest. One of his favorite places was Bethany Beach, Delaware where he spent vacations while growing up. He loved the summer, and he craved the Atlantic Ocean more than any other destination.

Adam was preceded in death by his grandparents Harry Roush and Helen Roush Shannon and Thomas and Ruth Marum and his mother-in-law Janet Gordon Feore.

He is survived by his loving wife, Margeaux (Feore) Roush of New Orleans, his parents David A. and Jane Marum Roush of South Dartmouth, MA and Arlington, VA, his sisters Abigail Roush Quintong (James) and Emilie Roush, as well as his nephews, aunts, and cousins. He is also survived by the Feore and Morel families in Richmond, Virginia.

In accord with Adam’s wishes, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions in Adam’s memory be made to the Virginia Law Foundation (https://www.virginialawfoundation.org/donate/). All contributions will go to the Adam Roush Scholarship Fund. These contributions will enable the Virginia Law Foundation to offer free registration to its annual Wellness Institute, which aims to promote wellbeing and equip participants with applicable tools to support their lives and careers.
