Wendyl Ann Fasic Matute
Wendyl Ann Fasic Matute, a native of New Orleans & long-time resident of Terrytown, passed away suddenly on April 11, 2017 at the age of 65. She was a strong, selfless and compassionate person with a giving heart. She never met a stranger and had a unique ability to connect with anyone. Wendy loved spending time with her family, watching sports and everything about New Orleans. To be on the receiving end of one of her hugs was a true gift. She graduated from Warren Easton High School (Class of 1970) and spent thirty-two years working at Children's Hospital/LCMC in Physician Billing.
She was the devoted mother of Mallory Ann Matute and sister to Deborah Hook (Steve), the late Derek Fasic (Suzanne) and the late Brandyn Fasic (Anna). She was predeceased by her mother Bobbie June Heuer Fasic and father Arthur Reid Fasic. She is also survived by a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Beautiful inside and out, Wendy will be remembered and dearly missed by all who knew her. Her smile, laughter and kindness will never be forgotten.
Services will be held on Monday, April 17, 2017 at St. Mary’s Assumption Church, (2030 Constance St at Josephine St) in New Orleans. Visitation begins at 9:30 am and a Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery on Canal Blvd. We welcome anyone who knew her to join the family in celebrating her life.
