Theresa Ruffino Delpuget passed away on All Saints Day, November 1, 2017. She joins her large family in heaven that preceded her in death, including her only son, Joseph L. Vaccaro. Heaven is singing praise as they are all united again. She passed comfortably in the arms of her only granddaughter, Stacey Vaccaro Monzon, whom she adored dearly. She leaves behind Stacey's husband, John R. Monzon, two loving great grandchildren, Joseph Ross Monzon and Julia Reese Monzon, daughter-in-law, Gaynell Clesi Vaccaro and several nieces and nephews and their families from her birthplace of Birmingham, AL. She moved to New Orleans, LA as a young adult and considered New Orleans her lifelong home. She spent the latter part of her life in Baton Rouge to be closer to her granddaughter and family, but still considered New Orleans "home". She dedicated many years of service to Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, The Shrine of St. Jude and church's Gift Shop. She believed strongly in the powerful intercessions of St. Jude, the Saint of Hopeless Cases. Visitation will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, The Shrine of St. Jude, in New Orleans on Friday, November 10, 2017 beginning at 9 am until Mass of Catholic Burial begins at 10 am. Services will be conducted by Fr. Tony Rigoli, OMI. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, The Shrine of St. Jude, 411 N. Rampart St. New Orleans, LA 70112, phone: 504-525-1551.
