Shirley D. Osment passed away on Friday, October 27, 2017, at the age of 84. Beloved wife of the late Harry E. Osment. Mother of Lisa Osment Gehegan (Joseph P. Gehegan), Evonne Marie Yonover (John B. Yonover), and the late Carl E. Osment. Grandmother of Matthew Yonover and Jason Yonover.
Mrs. Osment grew up in New Orleans and graduated from Sacred Heart Academy, attended Newcomb College and St. Mary’s Dominic College. In Shirley’s earlier years she volunteered with various hospitals and elderly organizations.
A private Funeral Mass was held for Mrs. Osment at Greenwood Funeral Home. Burial followed in Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice In His Care, 3233 S Sherwood Forest Blvd #102, Baton Rouge, LA 70816.
