I am just seeing this obit and want to extend my deepest condolences to the family. Mr. Sal was an extraordinary man. When I think of my high school days with Wendy, there are so many good memories of Mr. Sal. He will be truly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with his entire family.

I'm so sorry for your loss. May you find comfort from your memories, as well as the comfort found in God’s word the bible. In the face of such tragedy, many wonder why God allows such suffering. In the bible, Romans 5:12 says, "That is why, just as through one man (Adam) sin entered into the world and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men because they had all sinned." How loving of God to promise what is found at Revelation 21:4 which says, “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”

A gentle giant in so many ways. He loved and protected his family always. I loved his sense of humor and his ability to light up a room. I know he and his precious Jackie are together again . I was blessed to know both of them and even more blessed to love and be loved by them.

We are very sorry to hear about the loss of your loved one. At difficult times such as these, it may be hard to find words of comfort. Just remember, you can always find peace and comfort from Gods word the Bible. At 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 God assures us that he is "the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort." May you "throw all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you." (1 Peter 5:7) Our thoughts and prayers are with your entire family.

Pops- What are we going to do without your weekly visits to the bank to aggravate us We will miss all the sarcastic jokes, fixing you a "terrible" cup of coffee, and shorting you a twenty. We will miss our annual Heavenly Hash eggs this Easter, but miss you more. We love you! Karen & Laura (FCB)
