Nora Madeline Fandal Hauptmann passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2017, at the age of 99. Beloved wife of the late Sidney Seymour Hauptmann, Sr. She is survived by her daughter, Laura H. Zimmer (William); eight grandchildren, Gary J. Hauptmann (Pat), John G. “Butch” Hauptmann (Chris Ann), Linda H. Shields (Kenny), Karen H. Cretini (Frank), Sidney J. Hauptmann (Lisa), Glenn M. Hauptmann (Michelle), Kim Z. Callais (Lloyd) and Pam Z. Groomer (Barry); three daughters-in-law, Verina Hauptmann, Jeanette Hauptmann, and Diane Hauptmann; one sister, Joyce Veuleman; one sister-in-law, Ruth Fandal; and one granddaughter-in-law, Monica F. Hauptmann. Also survived by 23 great grandchildren, 16 great great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death her two sons, John G. Hauptmann and Sidney S. Hauptmann, Jr. and one grandson, Anthony J. Hauptmann. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd., New Orleans, on Saturday, August 26, 2017, starting at 10:30 AM, followed by a Mass in the Chapel at 12:30 PM.
