Kathleen Regan Hanner passed away on Monday, June 5th, 2017, at the age of 80. She was preceded in death by her mother, Florence Brady Regan, father, Jerimiah Eugene Regan, and her brothers, Jerimiah E. Regan Jr., Lawrence Regan, William Regan and John Regan. She was a devoted wife and mother and is survived by her husband of 61 years, Carroll J. Hanner and her sons Glen M. Hanner, wife Sandra B. Hanner, Carroll C. Hanner, wife Patricia F. Hanner. In addition, she is survived by her grandchildren Gregory M. Hanner, wife Shanna B. Hanner, Brian N. Hanner, Jason P. Hanner, Jenny Montecino and great grandchildren Eliza K. Hanner, JoLyn Montecino and Christopher Montecino. She was godmother to Colleen R. LaRocca and Holly Beaulieau. In addition, she is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Hanner grew up in the Irish Channel and graduated from Dominican High School where she made many lifelong friends. She worked for years as a medical assistant until her retirement. She loved to read and always had a book by her side. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. She was a parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena where she sang in the choir.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd., New Orleans, on Friday, June 9, 2017, starting at 10:00 AM, followed by a Mass in the Chapel at 11:00 AM.
