Josephine “Josie” LaBella Schuler passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2017, at the age of 94. Beloved wife of the late Eugene P. Schuler, Sr. Mother of Eugene “Gene” P. Schuler, Jr. and Robert “Bob” C. Schuler. Daughter of the late Joseph LaBella and Lena Fradella LaBella. Sister of the late Antoinette LaBella Catanese, Anthony LaBella, Salvador LaBella and Peter LaBella. Grandmother of Zachary M. Schuler and Paul K. Schuler. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Schuler was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Ponchatoula, LA for the past 12 years. Our family would like to thank Dr. Steven Gaudin and his staff, the medical staff of North Oaks Medical Center especially SICU and Dr. Theepha Thaya. Special thanks to Nancy Ford, her niece, and Patricia Holmes, Donna Demattia and Josie’s team of home care therapists. Their kindness and caring was very loving and comforting to Josie.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd., New Orleans, on Wednesday, November 22, 2017, starting at 10:00 AM, followed by a Memorial Mass in the Chapel at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
