Uncle Joe,so many fond memories growing up as a kid.You will truly be missed by so many people as you left a great legacy. Please say hello to Dad,now you two can get together and cut up like you used too.I love you so much,my only regret is I would have liked to have seen you before you passed but you know I love you very much and always will.Until we meet again Uncle Joe,may you Rest In Peace. My condolences to Shawn and Shannon, please take the time to grieve.Healing will come in time I promise it does, but it took me until now and that's almost 10 years. It does get easier in time but of course you will never forget.Just know that feeling you are feeling right now,the feeling of having a big part of yourself has passed with Uncle Joe is exactly how I felt. But stay strong, you have many many people friends and family that love you all so much.Good night Uncle Joe,I love and will miss you so very much.

Joe once asked me if I liked " gator pears" . I told him I didn't know what they were. He said " you are from CA and you don't know what they are?" He told me they were avocados. To this day I still ask people if the know what " gator pears" are.

I am writing to wish Joe a fond farewell. He greeted me as a friend when I first started going to Mick’s many years ago. He always treated me with kindness and often made my day with his great sense of humor, especially his now famous “Joeisms”. Both Molly and I will miss him dearly and we feel privileged to have made his acquaintance and having enjoyed our many good times together.

R.I.P. pal—here’s a poem I found to share my feelings…tk

I'm Free
Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free, I'm following the path God laid for me.
I took his hand when I heard his call, I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day, To laugh, to love, to work, to play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way, I've found that peace at the end of the day.
If my parting has left a void, Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, Ah, yes, these things too I will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow, I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My Life's been full, I savoured much, Good friends, good times, a loved one' touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief, Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your heart and share with me, God wanted me now, He set me free.

I am deeply sorry for everyone's loss. Uncle Joe was truly like an uncle to me. He was my father's best friend and has been around me since birth. I will genuinely miss him with all of my heart. He was such a character and always knew how to make someone smile no matter how he did it,! You will always always stay in my heart as you always have uncle Joe. I love you.
