John William Fortenberry, Jr. passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at the age of 62. He was a native and lifelong resident of New Orleans, LA. Beloved father of Jessica Fortenberry Chaisson (Jeremy). Grandfather of Isabelle Anne Chaisson and Everett William Chaisson. Brother of Anne F. McGaha (John), Mary F. Barnes, Angela F. Passafume and the late Catherine V. Fortenberry. Son of the late John W. Fortenberry, Sr. and Rita Derbonne Fortenberry. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd., New Orleans, on Friday, January 5, 2018, starting at 9:30 AM, followed by a memorial service in the Chapel at 11:00 AM.
