Don Van Normand, age 71, died on May 25, 2017, at his home in Kenner, La. Don is survived by his daughter, Danielle Duckworth Stevens; his grandson, Hunter Grey Stevens, his granddaughter, Paris Elle LeFevre, his nieces, Kim Rushing Anderson and Kelly Prestenburg Silva & cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Evelyn Normand, of New Orleans, La.; his sisters, Donna Normand and Bonnie Prestenburg.

Don was born on January 16, 1946 in New Orleans, La. Don worked as a bartender at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport for over 30 years but was most known for his musicianship. He was a gifted guitarist who had played in many local bands...most notable were Paper Steamboat, Eternity's Children and Sweet Salvation. 

Relatives and friend of the family are invited to attend the memorial service at will be held Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd, New Orleans, La on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at 11:00 AM, Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM. immediately followed by an inurnment at Greenwood Cemetery.
