Coach, I was not fortunate enough to know your lovely wife but after watching the tribute, I am in awe of the beautiful and very special family you both created. You have many wonderful memories to cherish. God bless and my deepest sympathy to all.

Coach Charlie, the years slip by and so do our loved ones. I have some distant memories of Carolyn from my days at NOA. All of them are so favorable. I wish I was there to offer some comfort at this difficult time for you and your family.

Please accept my deepest sympathy for the loss of your loving Mother. One thing to remember at a time like this is not how that special lady died, but how she lived her life and she is now with God in total peace.

My Aunt Carolyn was an extraordinary person, a great and generous spirit. With all the work and family obligations that were hers, she was always kind, thoughtful, welcoming, always had time and attention for the rest of us in her extended family, and was, without fail, good-humored, concerned about everyone -- but with all that, calm too, a person in rapid motion who also seemed at peace with herself and the world. A truly remarkable, loving woman, my Aunt, someone I was privileged to know, along with the amazing family that she raised and nurtured.
