On December 31, 2017, Carol Marie Berthelot Aymami made a peaceful return to the waiting arms of her Heavenly Father, her late husband, Thomas Aymami Sr., and the parents she had so missed, Paul and Ruby Berthelot. She was 71. She is survived by her son, Thomas Aymami Jr., daughter-in-law, Jessica, and the grandsons she adored, Reed and Travis. Carol was a vivacious and warm spirit, and she will be sorely missed by her family, blood-related and love-created alike; most notably, her faithful sidekick, Gerry Paternostro, Gerry’s daughters, Stacey Miller and Toni Rosas, and their children who counted “CC” as a bonus grandmother. Her number of friends continued to grow into her final days. Many thanks to the wonderful people at Ochsner Hospital, especially those in the CCU. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 1:00 pm on Friday, January 12 at Greenwood Cemetery, 5200 Canal Blvd. in New Orleans. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am.
