Camille Moreau Dooley joined her beloved mother in heaven Saturday, November 25, 2017. She was the loving wife of the late William Dooley, Sr. and was preceded in death by parents Lillian Salles Moreau and Victor Moreau.
Camille was born July 18, 1918 and was the last member of St. Joseph’s High School Class of 1935 where she later taught for many years.
Camille was a teacher at heart and inspired all through her strong values and deep Catholic faith.
Her spirit was invincible, overcoming the paralysis of polio to raise four sons, William (Sharon), Daniel (Jane), Kerry and Michael.
She was blessed with 6 grandchildren, David (Margaret), Erin (Bill), Patrick (Ann-Mercedes), Audrey, Daniel and William Dooley.
Camille was GiGi to great-grandchildren, William, Townes, Cardine and Louisa Ballard and Aidan Connor, James Patrick and Liam Dooley.
In the final 19 years of her 99 year journey she enjoyed the loving and faithful care of Emily Dejoie.
Camille life will be celebrated at a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at 12:00 Noon with visitation starting at 10:30 AM at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 775 Harrison Ave., New Orleans, LA 70124.
