I remember so clearly the first time I met Big Linda. She had just been through a series of devastating blows; the death of her husband and the loss of her new home and possessions thanks to Hurricane Katrina, yet she was lively and gracious and funny. I asked her how she was able to be so upbeat in such circumstances. Her reply was simple and profound. "I try to always look forward, not backwards." She was quite a woman and will be dearly missed.
