ALBERT F. MOLIERE, JR., born June 25, 1935, unexpectedly passed away in Slidell, LA on September 6, 2017. He was preceded in death by his beloved spouse and the love of his life, Joan Ann Armstrong Moliere; his parents, Albert F. Moliere, Sr. and Mary Cannella Moliere; mother-in-law, Ruth Elizabeth Dazet Armstrong and brother, James F. Moliere. His memory lovingly survives with his children, Donna Moliere Ernest, Albert F. Moliere III and Michelle Moliere Groomer, and their spouses, George “Dave” Ernest III, Angela Lowrey Moliere and Warren V. Groomer; his cherished grandchildren, Albert F. Moliere IV, Evan Groomer, Monique Moliere, Alaina Ernest, Thomas Groomer and Olivia Ernest, and his brother, Charles P. Moliere, along with family and friends. A lifelong resident of the Greater New Orleans area and a long-time resident of St. Bernard Parish, Albert retired to Slidell to enjoy living on Lake Pontchartrain. Trained in electrical engineering in the U.S. Army, he devoted 30 years of his career as a broadcast video engineer at WWL-TV, where he was an original staff member when the station opened in 1957. Upon retiring, he then worked as a free-lance video engineer for major television networks, continuing to participate in TV broadcasts of New Orleans Saints games and other sporting events in the Superdome and all over the country. In his later years, he and his wife, Joan, enjoyed relaxing at their home on the water with his family, grandchildren and life-long friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd., New Orleans on Monday, September 11, 2017 at 1PM.
